How long someone has to sleep depends on their age:
1-4 weeks: 15-17 hours a day.
1-4 months: 14-15 hours a day.
4-12 months: 14-15 hours a day.
Toddlers and preschoolers:
1-3 years: 12-14 hours a day.
3-6 years: 10-12 hours a day.
6-12 years: 10-11 hours a day.
12-18 years: 8-10 hours a day.
18 years or older: 7-8 hours a day.
